Antecedentes
Colecistectomía hace 19 años con complicación biliar postquirúrgica que requirió la colocación de una prótesis. Tras múltiples intentos fallidos de retiro en otras instituciones durante casi dos décadas, la paciente acudió a nuestra unidad.
El Desafío
La paciente presentó un cuadro de fiebre eictericia (coloración amarillenta). Tras realizar una CPRE de urgencia, se identificaron dos litos (piedras) de gran tamaño impactados en el conducto hepático izquierdo. Debido a la dureza y ubicación de los litos, las técnicas convencionales como el barrido con balón y la litotricia mecánica resultaron insuficientes.
La Solución
Optamos por un abordaje de mínima invasión avanzado: Colangioscopia digital con sistema SpyGlass™. Esta tecnología nos permitió visualizar directamente el interior de la vía biliar y aplicar Litotricia Electrohidráulica.
Resultado
Se logró la fragmentación total de los litos demanera exitosa y segura. Tras 19 años de vivir con una prótesis y múltiples procedimientos fallidos, la paciente recuperó el flujo biliar normal, eliminando la infección y el riesgo de daño hepático a largo plazo.

Upper Care was great. Dr. Javier Uc was very informative and answered all our questions and concerns. The scheduling was very quick. The place was very clean and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend them. For an American, the price was very reasonable. After my Colonoscopy, the Doctor told me the results and I received a folder with my report and a disk with photos of my colon. As I said, this place is highly recommended.

I was recommended to have a Colónoscopy at this clinic by my Dr. The Dr at the clinic sent me instructions for the preparation. I arrived at the clinic, was professionaly greeted by the receptionist and, after completing a consent form, went into the OR. I was given a anesthetic and had a very restful 45 minutes. Dr. Javier then explained to me what they found, and that everything was normal for someone my age. I was charged the agreed upon amount and the Dr sent my report within 15 minutes. From my experience I would say this is a top-notch clinic run by competent and professional Drs. I would have no hesitation recommending it to friends and family.
